Conditions
•	The Open Division and U1600 Division will be FIDE and ACF rated. Players who are not Australian citizens or have a permanent residency visa must have a FIDE ID number. This can be obtained from their national federation.

All players under 13 years of age must have a parent or guardian on the premises at all times.

Entry in the Open section is restricted to players with an ACF standard rating of at least 1400 or a FIDE standard rating of at least 1600. Entry to the U1600 section is restricted to an ACF standard rating of 1600. If the player has no ACF rating, their FIDE must be below 1600. Players who are ACF and FIDE unrated can only play in the U1600 section. Entry to the respective sections is based on June 2025 FIDE and ACF ratings.

You need to register and pay by 4 June to be eligible for the early entry fee.

Absolutely no entries will be accepted on the day

For Concession discount, a Healthcare Card, Pensioner Concession Card or a National Assistance Card must be produced on the day of the tournament otherwise the applicable Standard entry fee will be charged.

Exemption from entry fees: FIDE titleholders � GM, IM, WGM, WIM.  Entry must be received by the early entry cut off date of 4 June or full entry fees must be paid.

Players are eligible for one prize only. Rating prizes are based on ACF ratings. Unrated players are not eligible for rating-restricted prizes, including 1st-5th prizes in the Minor.

Forfeit times: Any player who arrives at the chessboard more than 30 minutes after the start of the session shall lose the game unless the arbiter decides otherwise.

All NSW resident players must be full members for 2025 of (or join) the NSWCA or the NSWJCL.

By entering the event players acknowledge that the decision of the organiser (NSWCA) is final.

Players may request up to two half point byes prior to the start of the round before the bye is needed. Half point byes are not available in the last two rounds.

All prizes not redeemed within 3 months will be treated as donations to the next Olympiad.

Prizes:
Rating prizes will be based on ACF quick ratings. For those without an ACF quick rating, their ACF classical rating may be used if available (Ratings found on the ACF Quick Rating Vega file). In addition to the Open division the organisers will form 3 additional division bands based on players ratings. These bands will be posted before Round 5. The Open Division will have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The 3 additional division bands will have 1st and 2nd prizes awarded in each. No tiebreaks: prizes will be shared in the usual way. A player may only win one prize. Unrated players cannot win any rating division prizes, but are eligible for the open, Junior and unrated prizes.
(Note: Organisers reserve the right to vary prize amounts depending upon the number of entries. The following
prize amounts totalling $1170 are guaranteed if more than 40 entries).
